NWIBA will meet the first Saturday of each month unless indicated otherwise below.

Featuring guest speaker: Melvin Disselkoen
After Melvin's talk, he will do a demonstation of his OTS
"on the spot" queen rearing method in the McComb apiary.
You must wear a veil to participate.

PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN CHAIR
- and a snack to share.

MEETING SCHEDULE:

The club will be bagging candy for the fair at this meeting.

July 13th, 14th, 15th - 28th Annual Power & Steam Show
Bob Engel sells his honey at this event and offers a table to the club to roll candles for the kids.
We're always looking for volunteers to help with the candle rolling table.

August 3rd to August 12th- Lake County Fair
Think about which days you'd like to work at the bee booth.
Remember, as club members, you can sell your honey and bee related goods at the fair too!

September - Club Picnic TBA

October 6th - TBA

November - Banquet, Annual Elections are held - TBA

December and January - no meetings

EAS (Eastern Apiculture Society) Short Course & Conference
Mike Palmer is in charge of the EAS Honey Show
Even though this conference is far from NWI, the theme of getting people interested in showing honey

Young Beekeeper of the Year Award
The IBA has restructered their program. There are now two age groups & both offer generous prizes.
If you know a young beekeeper please encourage them to apply. Age groups are 12 - 16yr old & 17 - 22yr old.
